Today we went to the Pancake House with Nick for our field trip. I shared blueberry pancakes and strawberry waffles with Satsuki. So we could enjoy two different tastes.  They cost me just ten dollars totally. I didn’t order a cup of coffee or tea because I thought they were not good for my health and I wanted to enjoy the pancake’s taste and waffle’s taste. I am getting fatter. But it was a good chance to experience a local style. I ordered them in English and enjoyed the mood in the restaurant. I would like to take my family there someday. Hawaii is good to relax. I want to take especially my mother because she works hard every day. I also want to help her with her housework and her job even if I am not good at that.  I can improve such my life skills as doing laundry, cleaning our rooms, and cooking food through my life in our dormitory.

Today, we went to Original Pancake Shop in Kapiolani. I have been to there when I was a CP3 student. I ordered Bacon&Egg Pancake set. When I ordered it, I didn’t know how to say the way of cooking eggs. Therefore, I said “Not scramble”. Then, I learned the names. Not scramble egg means a sunny- side up egg. It was very useful for me. I didn’t expect that I learn new word in pancake shop. Therefore, this field trip was not only fun but also useful for me. This field trip may become a final field trip to go with this member. This is kind of lonely but I expect that when I will become a CP5 student, I will go many exiting field trip with my friends. Thank you Nick!

We had a party at the pancake house to praise our hard work for this term because we all made a great effort in studying in each class, so Nick allowed us to go eat pancakes.  I have heard from my friends that the pancakes in the pancake house are too much and they usually could not finish them, and it was my first challenge so I skipped the breakfast and prepared myself.  However, I made a quite bi mistake at the beginning.  It was that I got macadamia nuts pancakes, but I did not notice that macadamia nuts are heavy on my stomach so much when I ordered it.  So, I could enjoy first 3 pancakes, however, I had a little hard time with last two pancakes because the macadamia nuts were so heavy.   Therefore, I made a mind that I will try the pancakes with refreshing taste next time.

Since some of my classmates had eggs, I learned new words relate to eggs.  I did know scrambled eggs and eggs sunny-side up because I have had them in Japan, but I have never heard “over-easy” before.  It is egg that are cooked and turned over to cook on the other side for only a moment so that the yolk is still liquid.  I am pleased to have pancakes and learn about eggs too.
