                    Hi, today, I will introduce one of the famous places in Honolulu, which is Chinatown. Chinatown is located in Honolulu, and is known as very cheap place. For example, bubble juice, which is a juice, but it contains soy bean, was just 2dollers. If you buy such a juice at Mucculy shopping center, you have to pay at least 4dollers. Another example, there is a market in Chinatown, and there are also amazingly cheap food. They sell ramen at 4dollers. It is awesome! I’ve never seen such a cheap price since I came here! However, I ordered another meal. I ordered two gyoza and Harumaki and rice, and it was just 2, 75dollerd. I was shocked. It tasted pretty good. I really recommend you go there, and get some food in special price.

Hello, everyone. We, CP 5, went to a Manoa Falls Hike with Selenna and Shourot on 13, February. Today, I am going to talk about three things, which are thier nature and nice view.
Because it is located in the forest, there are really fresh air. When we breathed deeply, we could be happy. Also, the air was sort of cool, so I felt like relax in climbing.
Furthermore, the view between trees and trees to the downstairs was really awesome. More we climed up, More we saw nice view. I had a really good time.
However, some people felt so hot while walking, so even if there are some mosquito, you shoulkd wear T-shirt.

#22 CORE5 Mid-Term Essay

              In my opinion, I am pessimistic about the future of abundance in America. Now, we are living in supreme condition. The convenient materials are around us. For example, if we feel too hot in our room, we just turn the air conditioner on, and it gets cool soon. In the past, we could not think the machine that put cool or hot air to control the temperature of one room. We had to endure that situation because of nature law. At this age, do we needs more comfortable, convenient, and novelty tools? I think everyone wants to live with comfort, me too. However, do not you think there are too many materials around us? And it interfere our lives? We should think about it. Do this materials or tools help my life? Should I buy? American economic is still raising. Therefore, we can expect American economic will grow up, and there will be a better materials around us, then, we should not rely too much and try to waste of money.

               For example, the computer is made for correcting new information from all over the world, but, at the same time, we can play a more than a thousand of games with online. Some people uses computer properly. They research a topic well, and compile their tasks, but other people are always playing games. Is that helpful for their lives? I do not think so. Some beneficial machines have great functions so that we can use another purposes. This is the good aspect and bad aspect, but we can still choose which one we want. 

               If you rely on too much on material wealth, what would happen? They forget the purpose for life. For example, recently, there are some social networking services, like My space or Mixi or Facebook. They can share their blogs, profiles, even their school. The most important function of these services is that we can contact or leave messages on the internet from everywhere, but of course they have more convenient tools such as sharing the daily and community. I think these services are waste of time because if you see it, what is good for you? In fact, if you are living far place from your friends, it is worth watching, but there are so many people who are watching or killing time on these services. It is part of the net-surfing. They are rally convenient, but is takes much time. 

               Then, what should we do? We should properly use these materials, or we should realize that now is enough. We are too much relying, and people sometimes forget their purposes. The balance is important. We study hard for our dream, while we effectively use these materials. People should not kill their time on the Internet.

               In conclusion, I like material wealth. I like those tools which makes us comfortable. However, I sometimes lose my aim because of the abundance of materials. If we want to play over night, we can go bar, and play pools or dart.  If we were born a hundred years ago, it did not exist. We should appreciate these useful materials, and living here. However, I worry about those people who may be interfered their lives by the abundance of materials.

Hi, Do you know Abraham Lincoln's speech as Gettysburg?

It is pretty famous in the U.S. because he insisted every American needed to be one nation.

At the beginning of his speech, for score and seven years ago means the time when the declaration of Independence occured.

 

This score means twenty, so fou multiple twenty equls 80. and plus seven equlas 87.

 

His speech was spoken in Novembr 19, 1863, therefore, it means the declaration of Independence.

Also, in his speech, our furthers means those peoplw who were related to write the constitution of Independence.

 He firstly thanks for the declaration of independence.

Hi, Today, Shun and Daiki and Riki and Alex and I went a Buba Gump at Ala Moana to celebrate Daiki and Shun's Birth Day.

 

The restaurant looked nice atmosphere, and a little crowded.

 

We were so hungry that we ordered many foods, for example, french fries and shirimps.

 

Also, we separately ordered one main food, for example, RIki Ordered classic American burger, and I ordered BBQ Pork sandwich.

 

That's really heavy. It means nice volume.

 

The waitress were always willing to full our glasses, and gave us a lot of smile.

The cost was not cheap, but we had a really good time.

Hi, I’m Ryoji. Today, I would like to talk about my experience going Dole Plantation. Dole Plantation is one of the famous places in Oahu, Hawaii. Around there, there is a lot of farming for pineapples. Also, when going there, the view from our ban was awesome. There were three scenes that I was impressed most: Amazing maze, delicious juices, and lot of souvenirs.              First, we went into amazing maze which is pretty famous. That was really complicated. The dimension of the maze was so big that we had hard time to find some points. Actually, a goal for this maze is to get six stamps which are placed on different places in the maze as quickly as possible. An entrance shows the world record of that. The fastest man who finished completely this maze ended just 7 minutes. Who break this record? For us, it almost took an hour. We lost and lost, in fact, we, Yusuke and I, got only four stamps. However, some classmates got six, but the time was over.                    After that, we went into a store and bought some food and drink. I bought hot dog 2,50$ and pineapple drink medium 2,00$. The pineapple juice was really sweet. I really like it. Some friends ate waffle corn, looks delicious.               Finally, we had 30 minutes as free time. There were a lot of souvenirs. For instance, chocolate and banana chips, banana nuts, hand soap smelling pineapple, bracelet for couples. I had a really interesting time. In the end, I bought a part of my bracelet. That showed turtle and pineapple. I really love it!              By the way, if you go there, please check a weather because unfortunately, it was a kind of rainy. We sometimes got some water on our clothe, and the ground in the maze was mud, so please be careful!

Hello, I have

 1, Get complete English pronounciation, esp, R and L, and also get over 600 score in 8 week's TOEFL, and get over 80 score in TOEFL IBT that I will take soon.

2, Go to bed before 10 o'clock and get up 5 o'clock, then I can achieve a lot of tasks in one day, and can work quickly.

3, Being kind to my friends, family, anyone who I know and give an advise to them always as posssible as I can even though I am in trouble, in other word, making myself polish like diamond.I want to polish myself more and more so that I can make everyone happy and comfortable.

4, Enjoy myself and my friends evey day and every time so that a motivation for my dream will go up and come true.

 

The best point for taking TOEFL is that everybody is able to know their ability of English.  I think knowing our own ability or skill of English is really supportive. The most precious matter is not when you take TOEFL, but after you take TOEFL. You will receive your score in detail, and you can find why you made mistakes. Reviewing is most important. Therefore, do not feel pressure for taking TOEFL: you do not need be tense, just relax. TOEFL is just a test. Please be confident, and do not forget to review.

 For taking TOEFL, some people must study hard because they want high score. In my opinion, this interaction is important. It may seem strange, but everyone, at least, has their own goal or purpose of taking TOEFL, so they can study hard for TOEFL.

 What I was told by my friend was that structure and reading section was not English ability, they were just memorizing and skimming: we could not use this strategy in real English life. However, in my opinion, if you can solve all the questions of structure section, you can write English sentences completely, I think. If you can answer all the questions of reading section, you can write essay properly. They are both nice ability that I want.

 I have taken TOEFL for times in my short life. My weak point of TOEFL is reading section. I think this is because of lack of vocabulary, so in reading class, I always concentrate on reading seriously. If there were no system of TOEFL in Tokai, I would probably have less ability than now.

       From the Stone Age to the Modern Age, we have traveled through history in our class and remembered those that came before us. If we were to take the same class hundreds of years in the future, how would we be remembered, and what would they call our age?                                                      

                                                       Happy and Crazy Age             

       In my opinion, this age would be called “Happy and Crazy Age”. This age has two faces, good things and bad things. This age was divided into three things: Internet, freedom, and wrong thinking.             

       First, I will talk about internet. What is internet? It can connect you all over the world. We can use it through computers. For example, internet can mail everywhere and every time to anyone. If you want to e-mail your parents in Japan, you use it and easily send e-mail your parents. Just a minute! Maybe it cannot take 1 minute. It is surprising. We are living in Hawaii, Japan is above the sea. Can you believe it? Many years ago, first people took a gesture to communicate other people. Today, we can communicate with computers. What a progress! Internet has a number of functions: such as Google. Do you know Google? Google can search everything. If you want to know about HTIC, you put HTIC in Google box and you will find information about it. So people is very happy to use internet.             

       Second, I will talk about freedom. Today we have many rights to decide almost things. For example, if you want to eat Kokoichi, you can eat there. Many years ago, people had no choice because of their age’s politics or poor. For example, in 1945 World War II finished. However, if I would be born in this age, I had to go to war against my will! If I said my parents, “I do not go to there!” maybe this demand could not be accepted. However now, I do not have to go war or something. I can do what I want to. It is very great thing. We can do everything any time. We can make our original future along our will! This age is no obstacle to prevent our life or future like war, so present people is enjoying their life.             

       Third, I will talk about this age’s thinking. Because of this free thinking, some people cannot do usual things as usual. For example, it is natural to respect your parents. However, in Japan, boy killed his mother. No way! This case is often seen in Japan. For example, it is natural to offer your seat to old person or handicapped person. However, people do not offer their seat and perform like this seat is mine. So people cannot do natural things. Of course there are the people who can do natural things as natural. However, more people happy, more people bad.             

       In conclusion, this age is very comfortable. We can do everything through Internet. And we can decide everything: school or college or future or person. I think this age is most happily age, but sometimes sad accident happened.
