Local Kine Grindz

Liliha Bakery must be the busiest little breakfast nook in town. We arrived at about 9:15 am and nearly every seat at the long counter was taken. It didn’t take long for all seven of us to grab a seat as someone left. We couldn’t sit together, so we were interspersed amongst the locals who were very friendly and chatty. The counter style seating overlooks the kitchen where the cooks were busily frying everything from pancakes to Portuguese sausage. The service was fast and the coffee was endless.

After our hearty breakfasts we all took numbers and waited to order the famous Coco Puffs. These delectable little pastries are filled with a creamy, chocolate custard and topped with a rich chantilly frosting. Yum!

All in all, the Liliha Bakery is a great little place to go for big local style breakfasts and mouth-watering cakes and pastries, all for just a few bucks.
