I went to Punahou carnival. There were many kind of food, game, and attraction. I was surprise because I found traveling amusement park the first time. I ate delicious food, played game, and rode. I could really enjoy. Thank you for Harold.
We went to ice cream shop which name is Bubbies. We went to it by walk. We spoke in English, so I could practice my pronunciation. I ate Mochi ice. It was very delicious. There were many kind of Mochi ice. I could good practice for my pronunciation. I noticed my pronunciation when I ordered it. For example, chocolate. Today, I had a good time. I could Mochi ice and practice my pronunciation.
We went to Kailua that is wet land. We could learn nature of Kailua. First, we went to Nuuanu Pali. It is very high that is 300meter. Army of Kamehameha king and army of Oahu fought in this area in 1795, so it is historical place. It always blows strong wind, but today, there were not wind. We were lucky. It has beautiful view, so I was very happy because I could see it. Second, we went Kailua beach. It was so beautiful. I think that it is more beautiful than Waikiki beach. After that, we went to the pan cake shop that name is Boots and Kimo’s. It was a very good shop. Finally, we went to Kawainui Marsh. We saw the grave that looks like a pyramid. Many fruits grow there, and there is a very beautiful place. Water is important because it controls nature. Today, I have a good time. I could learn Kailua nature. It was so beautiful. I want to go Kailua again.
Today, we went to Hokulani elementary school. We showed presentation and mini skit which was different point between Japanese school and American school to sixty students. Our group presented what was cleanup and leader activity of Japanese school. After that, we showed mini skit what was a day of Japanese school students. Students showed it, and then they surprised. Especially, they were surprised about cleanup of after school. After mini skit, we asked them “Which do you like Japanese school or American school? Most students chose American school because there was not cleanup time. I was surprised because they were very talkative. Many students had questions. I thought that it was different point of education between Japanese and American. In my opinion, Japanese students should be more talkative like American students. Today, I had a good time. If I have a chance, I want to go there again.
Today, I met Elisha Nakali who is a good percussionist. He is an African man. He talked about African culture, and education. Also, he performed percussion. I think that he was so powerful because he did not stop to talk. I listened to his speech; I felt that I am happy because I was born in Japan. There is a good education system in Japan. However, recently the numbers of student’s scores are decreasing. I think that because of lack of motivation. Therefore, Japanese students should study hard. Even though, in Africa there is not place to study, there skill of study is good. Therefore, Japanese students should increase there motivation for study. Next, I am interested in percussion because I belonged to music club. I surprised about instruments because it made from crocodile’s skin. Finally, we danced African dance. It was very funny. Therefore, I spent a good time.
