Final CP Program Reflection Project I came at HTIC with anxiety and hope about English because I did not have confidence. My first class was Core1, it was little bit shocked to me because I wanted to be a Core2 student to finish CP program quickly. However, now, I think that I really needed Core1 class because I did not have basis of writing, listening, reading, speaking, and TOEFL. The most difficult part was writing. Before I learn how to write and make orders, I just wrote my opinions on the paper. Thus grammar was terrible, and sometimes even I could not understand what I wrote. However, now, I know how to write my opinions correctly, and I can get high score on In Class Essay test. Moreover, at the first, I did not know even how to study and how to do homework because I had never had homework until I became HTIC’s student. Thus I did my homework frantically every day. I still work for my assignments because of this experience, and I can get high score on the test often. I strongly feel that I have grown and changed during the CP Program. My consciousness for English has been becoming high. The most important thing is to plug my assignment and to work hard every day. This consciousness gradually has been strong. Thus I have never forgotten my homework. My pronunciation was not enough to tell my feeling because I could not pronounce R and L sounds correctly, but many teachers taught me how to pronounce R and L sounds patiently, and I work very hard on these sounds many times. Then I can say R and L sounds better than before. Moreover I can communicate with local friends smoothly because I can understand what they say and they can understand what I say. When I was Core3 student, I learned about Communication. The class was very interesting because I could connect the class and communicating with local friends. I could understand their thinking and feelings. Also American studies class was useful to know American value about religion, immigration, election, and education. Thus when I talk with local friends, I can understand what they talking about and I can say that I agree or I disagree with their opinions. CP program grew my ability to communicate with local friends. I can feel strong confidence, when I communicate with Americans because of CP program. In CP Program, teachers gave me a lot of opportunities to speak English such as presentation, pronunciation class, and speaking activities. These were effective activities to me because if I did not try to make local friends, I did not have opportunity to talk with local people often. Moreover, I could know what my weak point of speaking is, so I could prepare my pronunciation for my presentations. CP program was very effective to my skills. I think CP program is necessary to me for the LA program. If I did not take CP program, I would not pass all classes and communicate with people. CP program was good experiences to me to improve myself.
